Terms of Service
1. Service description and limitations
Echo Reply provides infrastructure management services, including DNS by Echo Reply and additional products as they become available. The services allow you to manage infrastructure resources through a web-based interface and API.
We strive to maintain high availability, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
By using our service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Account responsibilities
When you create an account with Echo Reply, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with third parties
- Notify us immediately at support@echo-reply.net if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.
3. Domain registration terms
If you use Echo Reply to register or manage domain names, the following additional terms apply:
ICANN policies — Domain registrations under generic top-level domains (gTLDs) are subject to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) policies, including the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). As the registrant, you are bound by these policies.
Punktum.dk policies — Domain registrations under the .dk top-level domain are subject to the Punktum.dk terms and conditions. You must comply with their registrant requirements, including providing accurate contact information.
As a domain registrant, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring your WHOIS/RDAP contact information is accurate and up to date
- Responding to verification requests from the registry or registrar
- Renewing domains before their expiration date — we will send reminders, but the responsibility is yours
- Complying with all applicable registry policies for the TLDs you register
4. Payment and billing
Paid services are billed according to the pricing communicated at subscription time. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- All prices are listed in DKK or EUR and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your chosen billing period
- You authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date
- We will notify you of any price changes at least 30 days before they take effect
Refunds — Annual subscriptions may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no domains have been registered through the service. Monthly subscriptions are not refundable. Domain registration fees are non-refundable once the registration has been processed.
5. Data handling
We take your privacy seriously. Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the GDPR.
DNS zone data you create and manage through our service remains your data. We do not access, analyse, or share your DNS configurations except as necessary to provide the service or when required by law.
6. Termination and suspension
By you — You may cancel your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting support@echo-reply.net. Upon cancellation, your DNS zones will stop resolving at the end of your current billing period. You are responsible for migrating your DNS records before that date.
By us — We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You breach these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Your account is used for illegal activity
- You fail to pay outstanding invoices within 14 days of the due date
- We are required to do so by law or court order
Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice before suspension or termination, except in cases of illegal activity or imminent harm to the service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Echo Reply is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for damages caused by DNS propagation delays, registry outages, or other factors outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under EU or Danish law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
